Men's Waxing...

WHY MEN GET BRAZILIANS (aka Manzilian)

Brazilian waxing is no longer gender-specific! Now men can reap the benefits of longer-lasting hair removal even in their most intimate region. So if you’re a man new to the world of waxing, and don’t know what to expect, here is a step-by-step briefing for waxing beneath the boxers.

» Men who shave are now opting to avoid the itchy ‘five o’clock shadow’ and go for a longer-lasting, smoother solution.
» Swimmers and body-builders tend to get all of their body hair removed, especially before competition.
» Personal preference, some guys hate body hair as much as some women!

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE?

» Be clean and freshly showered. And your skin should be free of any  lotion, you'll get better results if your skin is less oily.
» Your hair should be at least 0.25 inches in length (which makes it long enough to lay flat on your skin). Please don't shave for at least two weeks prior to your appointment to ensure that your hair is long enough! Also, if you've 'let it go' down there and it seems out of control, don't worry! Our specialists will trim any longer hairs to the proper length prior to the removal process.
» If possible, wear loose clothing that day to prevent irritation in the post-wax phase.
» Reportedly the more relaxed your muscles are, the better your hair removal results will be!

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

» Embarrassment is a big hurdle you will have to overcome, so suck it up and be a man, go on you can do it.
» You will be asked to remove your underwear in a treatment room. By removing your underwear you protect your clothing as well as provide optimal working conditions so that the technician can get all of the unwanted hair!
» Your technician will examine the hair length, and trim accordingly for safety purposes as well as your preference. She will also ask you about what areas you would like to leave hair and how much of it you would like to leave.
» After you are as bare as you want to be, your therapist will advise you on after care to minimise any problems with in-grown hair.
» You are finished and ready to go about the rest of the day! (Oh, please remember to dress before leaving the room!) And remember, If this is a new 'thing' for you, treat your 'Brazilianized' pubic region like you would any other haircut, try it out for a few days and then decide!

CAN YOU WAX YOUR NOSE & EARS?

» Yep and it's MUCH better than a tweezing one-hair-at-a-time - Ouch!
» There is nothing worse than see a man with long black hairs hanging out of his ears and nose - what a turn off ... Ohoo Yuk!
» We use a soft wax putting a small amount just in the front of the nostril or ear lobe so as we engage the hair, a quick flick of the wrist ... all done.

HOW OFTEN DO I HAVE TO WAX?

» Every 4-6 weeks. Your therapist needs at least 5mm of hair for the wax to adhere to.
» Some men go every 3 weeks for a back wax. Others every 2 months. The more regular the better. Young hairs come out easier.

CAN I SUNTAN/SUNBAKE?

» NEVER get waxed after you've been in the sun too long! It’s not only very painful you skin is likely to  peel off with the wax Ouch! It recommended that you leave 24 hrs after waxing before sun baking or using a sun bed, as your skin is more sensitive and you are  more likely to burn.

IS THE SEX BETTER
AFTER WAXING?

Well that’s a no brainer skin on skin always feels great... particularly at those most intimate times!

WHAT IF I GET
AN ERECTION?

Therapists are professionals, it happens and they understand that.
It's actually it’s easier to wax because the skin is tighter and it hurts less... but we don’t recommend that you go out of your way and try to get an erection.

Seriously... during the waxing procedure, therapists constantly pull the skin tight over the areas they are working in. This ensures the follicles are close to the skin making the procedure easier on you and for them.

WHAT ABOUT THE PAIN?!

» Yeah, it hurts! But not NEARLY as much as you think! Add that to the fact that different parts of your body have different levels of sensitivity, like the small of your back or the tops of your pecs nearest the collarbones, tend to be more sensitive. Then again, not true for some men....

» Everyone experiences it differently, because every man has a different resistance to what's happening. The general response from 99% of guys is: "Gee, it doesn't hurt as much as I thought!" or "Oh! Not so bad!"

» It can also depend on what you are having done. Don't try and do it ALL in the first go. Try maybe your back or your butt, or remove the hair from your shaft (yeah, we're serious!) Then build up to the main event over a few visits’
» Some guys take a few pain killers 30 minutes before their treatments.
