Brazilian and body waxing specialists Dare to be Bare was founded in Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast in 1998.  The business was formed to offer clients, both male and female, a welcoming and professional environment in which to have waxing treatments in total confidence and performed with competence. You might say we know a thing or two about body waxing!

At Dare to be Bare, we believe that waxing should not be a stressful or scary experience, so we work hard to create a fun, relaxed atmosphere in which both male and female clients can feel comfortable.

We have pioneered and developed our own waxing techniques, and we spare no expense, using only the highest quality, creamy soft waxes that contain titanium dioxide to reduce the discomfort when being waxed.

We take our standards and professionalism seriously and ensure we are the best.  Through regular in-house and out sourced training you can be assure of continual professional development for members of Dare to be Bare. Products used in salon treatments are of highest grade and sourced from the best companies available.  No cheap bulk stuff here! 

Salon Standards

Hygiene is very important to us and your room will always be specially prepared for you.  We use gloves and disposable spatulas, as well as offer our clients baby wipes and disposable G Strings if required.

At Dare to be Bare we DO NOT recycle wax and use strict hygiene practices.

You will be delighted with the friendly team at Dare to be Bare who will put you at ease and make you feel welcome from the minute you walk in the door.  Friendliness is our forte and it is free!

We realise that clients build a rapport with individual therapists, so if you would like to continue to see a particular therapist, you can. To ensure that your therapist will be available to you on your next visit, we encourage you to make your next appointment with her before you leave the salon.
